After some glitches earlier in the day, the much-hyped '181' toll-free helpline for women in the National Capital is now functional. It was heavily advertised that the the Chief Minister's Helpline would be accessible from today. But the service remained inactive for 4 hours. The helpline was announced in the aftermath of the gangrape of 23 year old Damini. It will function from the CM's office. All 185 Delhi police stations will be connected to it.
