After police rained lathis and fired tear gas to drive away protestors on Sunday, protest demanding justice for the 23-year-old survivor of the brutal gangrape continues to simmer amid police working overtime to quell it. Though the Government has apologised for the attack, protestors say that they will be back. In a bid to keep the protestors away from India Gate, which had turned into a battle ground on Sunday, police have blocked all roads leading to India Gate. Besides this, as many as nine metro stations providing access to India Gate have been shut down. Media has also been asked to move from India Gate to Pragati Maidhan.
