It was a bizarre request. A person wearing a helmet that covered his face knocked on the door of Shahdara BJP MLA Jitender Singh Shunty at 5.30 in the morning on Wednesday to get some papers attested. Shunty promptly opened the door and began looking at the documents but was soon running for his life as bullets whizzed past him.In a sudden turn of events, the man first grappled with Shunty and then whipped out a pistol to begin firing wildly but the MLA escaped unscathed. CCTV footage showed that the shooter was a poor marksman and Shunty had been extremely lucky.
