High profile connections of Raqibul being detected in his call details,The Tara Shahdeo "love jihad" case took an interesting turn on Thursday when police found evidence showing a sessions judge in a Bihar court had helped Raqibul Hasan Khan alias Ranjit Kumar Kohli escape to Delhi after the latter's wife, who was a national-level shooter, lodged a complaint against him on August 22.
The judge had, in fact, accompanied Kaushal Rani alias Kaushar, Khan's ailing mother, in a flight to Delhi when police heightened vigil in Ranchi to arrest them. Tara lodged an FIR on August 22 against Khan, who is also known by the name Ranjit Kumar Kohli, and his mother under different sections of the Indian Penal Code, including Section 295(A) that deals with deliberate and malicious act intended to outrage religious feelings of a class.
Ranchi SSP Prabhat Kumar said, "We have got evidence that Judge Rajesh had helped her escape to Delhi. The judge is posted in Bihar's Gaya district where Ranjit and his mother had escaped a day after police rescued Tara from his apartment."
