The International Olympic Committee IOC and Indian Olympic Association IOA are on a collision course. The IOC has threatened to suspend India... if the IOA did not conduct its elections as per the Olympic Charter and as per the IOC constitution. They want a written guarantee to this effect by the end of this month. This is seen as the severest threat held out so far in over two years of the "autonomy debate" But IOA officials say polls must be held on the 5th of December as directed by the Delhi High Court.
