In the probe into the sensational Ponty Chadha murder case, police are probing the role of Sukhdev Namdhari, the sacked chairman of the Uttarakhand Minorities Commission. Police say Namdhari could have aided the liquor baron in taking control of the disputed farmhouse hours before the killings. Prior to the gunbattle at 12:30 PM, Ponty's men had allegedly entered the farmhouse at around 11 AM, fired in air and snatched mobiles of Hardeep's staff before throwing them out. Namdhari's reported avoiding the police has raised greater suspicion. Namdhari hasn't been seen since the shooting. Cops are unaware of whether he was also hurt in the firing.
