Sensationalism led to spectrum sale collapse: Sibal - NewsX

The govt has said that policy making is best left to it and revenue is not the sole criteria for the spectrum sale. Addressing the media in New Delhi, telecom minister Sibal said that sensationalism had taken over and govt was limited in doing whatever it could. The minister added that he is saddened that consumers have not benefited. Kapil Sibal blamed TRAI, and said that if they would have followed their recommendations, the outcome would have been worse. He said that the price recommended by TRAI was too high and the Empowered Group of Ministers lowered it.
