A driver was killed and nine school children were injured when a private bus rammed into an auto-rickshaw on the Pathankot-Amritsar highway in Punjab on Thursday morning.The students were from Makhan Singh Public School in Pathankot.Following the accident, passersby laid a blockade on the highway and broke windowpanes of one private bus and set another bus on fire. Police resorted to lathi-charge to disperse the crowd.The driver of the bus that hit the auto fled soon after the accident, said police.
