The state-wide bandh in Karnataka over the Cauvery row, has disrupted normal life in the State. Autos. Taxis and buses and lorries are off the roads. Besides this, gas stations, petrol pumps, schools and colleges have also closed. The 12-hour shutdown from 6 AM today is said to be near total in Bangalore and Cauvery district basins of Mandya, Mysore and Chamrajnagar. Around 20,000 police personnel and 25 platoons of Karnataka State Reserve Police have been deployed in Bangalore.
