The Union Cabinet is scheduled to meet today and will take up the FDI hike issue which the government feels is important for growth and development in these sectors. Finance minister P Chidambaram yesterday told India Inc that the government is keen on speeding up reforms and hoped legislation for raising FDI in insurance sector will be passed in the winter session of Parliament.
