Arvind Kejriwal sent to judicial custody in Gadkari defamation case

The former Delhi Chief Minister will be in judicial custody till May 23 May and has been jailed after he refused to furnish bail bond of Rs.10, 000.

As per the reports, Kejriwal told the court that he would not furnish a bail bond in the case as it is of a political nature. He also that said he would give an undertaking to appear before the court at every hearing.

Prominent face of BJP, Nitin Gadkari slapped a defamation case on Kejriwal after a released a list of "India's most corrupt" people and it included Gadkari's name on January 31.

Kejriwal accused Gadkari of colluding with the ruling Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Maharashtra for furthering his business interests at the cost of farmers for which the former has to suffer the trouble now.
