A special trial court has pronounced its verdict on the Dipda Darwaza massacre that took place during the 2002 Gujarat riots. 22 of the accused have been convicted under attempt to murder. 61 have been acquitted. Eighty-three people underwent trial in the case, including former BJP MLA Prahlad Gosa. The case relates to February 2002, when eleven people were killed by a mob.
