One of the accused in madhumita case, Prakash pandey is absconding. He was earlier released by the lower court and it is only yesterday he was given a life sentence and was asked to surrender in court. He is a resident of gorakhpur. It was found that Madhumita Shukla was murdered pursuant to a criminal conspiracy hatched by Amarmani Tripathi, his wife Madhumani Tripathi and Rohit Chaturvedi, who engaged accused Santosh Kumar Rai alias Satya Prakash, and Prakash Chander Pandey alias Pappu to murder the poetess.
