It is a tense and unfortunate standoff between the HRD minister and some IITs. Kapil Sibal's entrance proposal has divided the entire teaching fraternity into 2 camps, and crying foul, are the IITs. After the dare by Kanpur, other IITs too are coming out with their objections over the proposal. But, the question still remains that why the leading institutions were not consulted before taking the decision.
