India News: The huge gateway of Khandwa Road ashram of the controversial godman Asaram (now in Jail) near Indore was flattened by the local authorities on Saturday.
The joint team of Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) and MP Road Development Corporation (MPRDC) razed to the ground 60-foot gigantic Asaram Gate, which was unlawfully constructed on Indore-Khandwa state Highway by Asaram Trust in 2004.

The demolition took place after the trust didn't reply to the notice by September 27 served to it by MPRDC. The notice mentioned that the gateway constructed some 500 metres away from the ashram, was blocking traffic on the state highway. It was from this ashram, the godman was nabbed.
