In the Bhanwari Devi murder case, Jodhpur police has shifted accused Mahipal Maderna and Malkhan Singh from the Jodhpur jail due to security reasons. Mahipal Maderna will now be shifted to the Jaipur Central jail whereas Malkhan Singh will be shifted to the Ajmer Central jail. The duo have been shifted following a CBI application in the High Court seeking transfer of both the accused from Jodhpur. In its plea, CBI had alleged that the accused were trying to influence the witnesses.
