India has welcomed the US' announcement of a bounty on Hafiz Saeed's head, saying the move sends a strong signal to LeT as also its members and patrons. A statement from the Ministry of External Affairs said and I quote "The US announcement reflects the commitment of India and the US to bring perpetrators of the Mumbai terrorist attacks to justice and continuing efforts to combat terrorism." The MEA spokesperson also said "the move sends a a strong signal to LeT as also its members & patrons that the international community remains united in combating terrorism".
