Don't be surprised if you suddenly find yourself surrounded by darkness tonight. For the world is all set to mark the Earth Hour for the year 2012. Exactly 5 years after the movement first started in Australia. Almost 2 billion people from over 5000 cities across more than 130 nations will be switching off their lights from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM local time today, to send a powerful message to the the world for the pressing need for action on climate change. Last year showed us the remarkable visuals of the some of the world's most iconic landmarks being plunged in darkness and this year promises to be no different.
