India News : New Delhi: Forced by the Opposition to make a statement on the missing Coalgate files, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday sought to clarify that the government has nothing to hide. "Let me assure this august House that the Government has nothing to hide," Singh said while addressing the Parliament.
"The government shall follow directions (of the SC) in letter and spirit and do its best to locate and hand over the requisite papers to the CBI," Singh said. "The matter of allocation of coal blocks is sub judice; the apex court is looking into all aspects of these allocations," he added.
