India News : The Indian rupee fell over 1 per cent on Monday to hit a historic low against the dollar. The partially convertible rupee traded at 62.35 surpassing the previous record low of 62.03 hit on Friday. The rupee had closed at 61.65 against the greenback on Friday.

The currency has now decisively breached the 62 levels despite several measures announced by the Reserve Bank and the government.
