Kingfisher's operational fleet was reduced drastically yesterday after reports that tax authorities had attached its bank accounts over non-payment of tax deducted at source. Since Friday, nearly 80 flights have been affected, leaving the passengers in the lurch with the last-minute cancellations. Media reports quoted Kingfisher sources as saying that threats of no-pay-no-work from employees and airport operators from many other places may force the airline to shut down operations from some bases. Even some international fights of the airline may get affected.
