The Second phase of the UP assembly elections today has been wrapped up. It has been marked by a high turnout in the BSP strongholds. Elections were held in 59 constituencies spread across 9 districts with sporadic incidents of violence being reported from some of them. Over 59 % of 1.97 crore electorate have voted in the second phase of the UP polls.
