India News : While the rescue operations are still on to rescue the 800-odd people still stuck in Badrinath, the meteorological department has predicted another furious spell of rains in Uttarakhand from July 4-7.
The MeT department has issued a warning again, predicting that heavy rains are likely to hit the mountainous state yet again towards the end of this week. The rains might be similar to the rainfall on June 16 in magnitude, the warning said.
Uttarakhand, which is still grappling with the aftermath of the devastation, the 'heavy' rains are likely to add to the woes of the state. Hopefully, the state government and the disaster management team will pay heed to these warnings while it is alleged that they completely ignored the warnings earlier.
