India News : Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Friday lauded the rescue efforts made by military and paramilitary personnel in Uttarakhand.
"Weather has not been good, but all rescue officials have shown excellent coordination in rescue measures," Shinde said.
"We still don't know how many bodies are trapped under debris," he said.
Shinde also said the rescue efforts are on a war footing and more Mi-17 choppers will be deployed. He said Air Force choppers will stay in Uttarakhand for 15 more days.
