India News: The special forces of the Indian Army have located around 1000 survivors, who are stranded in the mountains between Gaurikund and Rambara on the Kedarnath axis in rain-ravaged Uttarakhand.
The Army has been able to establish contact with these survivors. However, the rescue operations will be a big task as the area is in an extremely inhospitable terrain, which is totally cut off. There are no roads connecting the area and it is almost impossible for choppers to land in the area.
