India News: An unidentified man, who had allegedly entered a house to commit theft in Hardoi area early today, succumbed to injuries after being beaten up by the people before being handed over to the police.

According to Superintendent of Police (City), at least three persons had sneaked into a house of one Ramesh Kumar Jaiswal, a resident of locality , at around 3 am. As the thieves went about stealing items, two of his brothers — Rajendra and Narendra — woke up. They alerted the neighbours and soon several residents gathered. As the thieves decided to beat a hasty retreat, one of them was caught. The others managed to escape with some booty.
