India News: The Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on Thursday said that the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister P Chidambaram has nothing to do with the 2G scam.
According to reports, JPC- the body probing the 2G spectrum allocation scam- gave a clean chit to Manmohan Singh and P Chidambaram, stating that the duo was not told by the then Telecom Minister A Raja about the change in policy of the spectrum allocation.
The JPC report said that the 2G spectrum was allocated on 'first come, first serve' policy and that norms were tweaked to favour a few companies. PM and Chidambaram played no role in tweaking norms of the auction, the report said.
