The CB-CID may file a preleminary report on Thursday (June 16) evening in the Lakhimpur rape and murder case. The report is likely to suggest that there may have been an attempt of rape before the murder was commited. The report is expected to be tabled before the HC later this evening.
The CB-CID will also have to submit a report before the Allahabad High Court tomorrow.
According to sources, the CB-CID in their findings are trying to establish that there was probably an attempt of rape made on the minor girl before she was murdered. The motive behind the murder could only be further acertained when the Key accused, Constable Vinay Singh who is under the scanner is found.
Vinay Singh has been absconding since the day of the murder. Authorities say they are on the hunt for the absconding cop, in whos room the murder is said to have taken place.
Keeping in mind the statements of the girls family, the injury wounds identified on the body in the postmortem and circumstantial evidence, the CB-CID is of the opinion that there was a failed attempt to rape the girl, after which she was murdered.
Also the roles of aroud three or four cops is also being looked into. One of the main acccused its the missing policeman Vinay Singh. the other cops suspected to be involved are being interrogated for their role in destroying the evidence at the scene of the crime.
