On Saturday, the South Korean military scrambled fighter jets to track a Chinese surveillance plane that crossed into South Korea's Air Defense Identification Zone three times.
The Chinese plane first entered from the southwest early Saturday morning and flew all the way to the East Sea.
It got close to the Japanese air defense ID zone and then came back into the Korean zone.
The South Korean Joint Chiefs said this was the first time this year that a Chinese warplane had flown all the way to the East Sea.
South Korea's defense ministry lodged a complaint with Beijing,... demanding that this not happen again.
