TSA Confiscates Record Number of Firearms in 2018 According to the airport security agency, 4,239 guns were discovered last year. The number is an increase of 7% from 2017. The TSA adds that 86% of the guns taken in from 2018 were loaded when found. Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport topped the list for where the most guns were discovered. According to the TSA, Hartsfield-Jackson has more airline passengers than any other U.S. airport. Rounding out the top 5 is Dallas/Fort Worth and Phoenix Sky Harbor
International Airports. They are followed by the biggest airports in the cities of Denver and Orlando.
