India declared their first innings on 443/7 after Cheteshwar Pujara’s century. Apart from Pujara, captain Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma chipped in with 82 and 63 respectively. India resumed the day’s play on 215/2 with Kohli and Pujara the two unbeaten batsmen. India’s declaration came late in the day and then Australian openers batted six overs to end the play on 8/0.
