At a panel discussion recently, Karan Johar said that the fraternity is so scared of making a film that might be even slightly objectionable that they are sticking to safer topics. Karan Johar also shared that India is a goldmine of autobiographies, true stories, biopics to be told but makers are afraid to invite trouble due to it. In fact there people from the western countries coming and making our films because here everyone is worried about releasing them. Karan Johar further added that this is the reason that many producers and directors are just making very very inspirational biopics of people who are not offending anyone.
