Lord Ganesha, the son of Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati, is the God of wisdom and intellect. Devotees seek His blessings before starting any auspicious event as He is known as the remover of obstacles. He is the elephant-headed God riding a mouse. He is also known as Ekadanta as one of his tusks is broken. There are several stories describing how Lord Ganesha broke one of his tusks. 1 Lord Ganesha is also known as Ekdanta, which is literally translated as the one who has only one tusk.
