2 This flower is glorified in various scriptures which also considered auspicious to offer to Lord Ganesha.
3 Although this flower comes in variant colors, Lord Ganesha is particularly fond of the red hibiscus flower with Durva.
4 Lord Ganesha gets attracted to the red hibiscus flower because it belongs to the Raja and Sattva Guna by nature.
5 The four petals of the red flower represent the four positive elements of Lord Ganesha.
6 If observed closely the Hibiscus flower resembles the Swastika, which is an auspicious symbol of Lord Ganesha.
7 Devotees believe that any other red flower including Red Genda (Marigold) and Arka can be offered to Ganesha.
