Supreme Court Wednesday questioned banned cricketer S Sreesanth for not immediately bringing it to the notice of BCCI that he was being approached for alleged spot-fixing during the IPL match in 2013.The apex court observed that conduct of Sreesanth, who is facing life ban for his alleged involvement in the sensational spot-fixing scandal, in the entire episode was "not good". Sreesanth, who was discharged by a trial court in 2015 in a criminal case related to alleged spot-fixing, told a bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan and K M Joseph that life ban imposed on him by the BCCI was harsh and there was no evidence to substantiate the claim that he was indulged in any illegality.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने बुधवार को आजीवन प्रतिबंध का सामना कर रहे क्रिकेटर एस श्रीसंत से सवाल किया कि 2013 में कथित स्पॉट फिक्सिंग के बारे में उससे संपर्क किए जाने की जानकारी उसने तत्काल ही बीसीसीआइ को क्यों नहीं दी। न्यायमूर्ति अशोक भूषण और न्यायमूर्ति केएम जोसेफ के पीठ ने श्रीसंत की याचिका पर सुनवाई के दौरान टिप्पणी की कि इस पूरे प्रकरण में उसका आचरण अच्छा नहीं था। श्रीसंत इस समय सनसनीखेज स्पॉट फिक्सिंग मामले में कथित संलिप्तता की वजह से जीवन भर के लिए प्रतिबंध का सामना कर रहे हैं। श्रीसंत को कथित स्पॉट फिक्सिंग से संबंधित आपराधिक मामले में निचली अदालत 2015 में आरोप मुक्त कर चुकी है
