At least nine people have been killed and around three-hundred are missing,... after a dam collapsed at an iron ore mine in southeast Brazil.
On Saturday, emergency authorities nearly doubled their estimate... on the number of people presumed missing... compared to its previous toll.
The dam, operated by Brazilian mining giant Vale, collapsed in the Brazilian state of ( ) Minas Gerais Friday 1 PM local time,... sending a massive torrent of mud over the complex and the neighbourhood where many of the workers live.
The governor of Minas Gerais said while everything is being done to rescue any survivors,... there was little chance of finding anyone still alive.
It is not yet clear... what exactly caused the dam to collapse.
