Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2019, Congress leader and MP from Thiruvananthapuram Shashi Tharoor commented on the upcoming elections. Tharoor said that the upcoming elections will be “a battle for India’s soul”. Drawing example from Pakistan, Tharoor said that India is not a religion oriented country and also lauded the Congress president Rahul Gandhi. Tharoor claimed that Gandhi is a worthy leaders and capable would win any elections within the party.
