A top North Korean nuclear envoy begun talks with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Friday and may also meet President Donald Trump during a visit aimed at making steps towards a second U.S.-North Korea summit. The meeting with Kim Yong Chol, Pyongyang’s lead negotiator with the United States, marked a sign of movement in the denuclearization effort between Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Just prior to Kim Yong Chol’s arrival, Trump unveiled a revamped U.S.
