Clint Eastwood takes the lead in a new film based on a New York Times Magazine article, The Sinaloa Cartel’s 90-Year-Old Drug Mule.
The movie follows the true story of Leo Sharp, a World War II veteran who became a drug mule for the infamous Sinaloa Cartel.
Channel 24 reports that 88-year-old Clint Eastwood directed and produced the film, in addition to playing the lead role.
This is the first time that Clint has been back on the silver screen since 2012 when he starred in Trouble with the Curve.
The film opened in American theaters December 14, 2018, and will open in South African theaters January 18, 2019.
