North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's right-hand man Kim Yong-chol -- who's been the regime's key negotiator in denuclearization talks with the U.S. -- is reportedly visiting Washington this Thursday.
CNN reported that.... Kim Yong-chol is to stay overnight and meet with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
It is not clear whether he's to meet with President Donald Trump as well,.... although that is the expectation from the North Korean side.
The news comes as North Korea and the U.S. settle the details of a possible second summit.
According to CNN,.... Trump sent a letter to Kim Jong-un over the weekend as well.
In the case of the first Pyeongyang-Washington summit last year,.... Kim Yong-chol flew to New York for high-level talks with Pompeo two weeks before the summit.
