Snake handler Arteval Duarte performed an incredible and dangerous stunt to raise awareness for Amazon deforestation, by holding four venomous rattlesnakes in his mouth.

Duarte can be seen in this video, filmed on January 10, placing the four snakes one after the other into his mouth and holding them for several seconds before releasing them.

The snakes were South American rattlesnakes, whose venom can cause blindness and paralysis among many other symptoms.
