The Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Commission has approved its final report.
The commission will send recommendations to the governor’s office and the Florida legislature.
“We will be vigilant and we, like the legislature, expect compliance and change with urgency.”
The report is an in-depth analysis of the Parkland shooting in February 2018, in which 17 students and staff members were killed.
It documents shortcomings in the school’s security measures and offers recommendations about how the high school could improve safety.
The report calls for increased funding for school police officers and training teachers to carry firearms.
