The piercing noise in a "sonic attack” in Cuba at the US embassy may be the echoing call of a cricket. According to CNN, the chirps were specifically from the Anurogryllus celerinictus, an Indies short-tailed cricket. There have been a number of studies looking into the possible causes of the attack. The incident left 21 people who seeking medical attention for issues that lasted months.
