India coach Ravi Shastri on Monday used his tried and trusted ammunition to attack the critics, saying negative comments coming from miles away were blown away by the wind like, what else, but a tracer bullet. Moments after India’s maiden Test series triumph in Australia, Shastri hit back at the critics, including the legendry Sunil Gavaskar, who had questioned selections and the training regimen of the team.


भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम के कोच रवि शास्त्री ने ऑस्ट्रेलिया में पहली बार टेस्ट श्रृंखला में जीत के बाद अपने चिर-परिचित अंदाज में आलोचकों पर निशाना साधते हुए कहा कि सैकड़ो मील दूर से आने वाली नाकारात्मक प्रतिक्रिया ‘बंदूक की गोली के धुंए’ की तरह उड़ गयी, शास्त्री ने कहा, ' मैंने मेलबर्न में कहा था। मुझे लगता है कि मैंने टीम पर सवाल उठाने और अंधेरे में तीर चलाने वालों को जवाब दिया था, मैं मजाक नहीं कर रहा था क्योंकि मुझे पता है कि इस टीम ने कितनी कड़ी मेहनत की है,जब आप इतने दूर से गोली चलाते हैं तो वह दक्षिणी गोलार्ध को पार करते समय धुंए की तरह उड़ जाती है।
