A 5.3-magnitude earthquake jolted Gongxian county, Yibin City in south-west China's Sichuan province at 8:48 am on Thursday.

This video, filmed at a school in nearby Jixian county, shows the tremors as the quake struck, followed by the evacuation of students.

According to local media, the earthquake caused cracks in some structures with reports of damage to houses, but no casualties have been announced.
