The unified Korean men's handball team are in Germany training ahead of the upcoming world championship.
The two Koreas are preparing for the 2019 World Men's Handball Championship, which is co-hosted by Germany and Denmark.
Last year, the two Koreas formed joint teams in a range of sports, but this is the first time they've formed a joint handball team.
South and North Korea's ambassadors to Germany attended training on Wednesday and expressed their hope to start the New Year with peaceful sporting exchanges between the two Koreas.
The joint team, comprised of 16 players from the South and 4 from the North, will face Germany in the tournament's opener on January 10th in Berlin.
