According to Reuters, officials said that a suspected illegal immigrant accused of shooting to death a California police officer was arrested on Friday after a two-day manhunt. Gustavo Arriaga was arrested in Bakersfield, a city less than 200 miles away from the city of Newman where the police officer was shot early on Wednesday. The officer in Newman, a small Northern California town, was shot and killed after pulling over the suspect on suspicion of driving under the influence.
