Ahead of Triple Talaq Bill being discussed today in the Parliament, Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge said that his party would represent its view on the matter. He along with other Opposition leaders said that the bill was a violation of the Supreme Court's triple talaq verdict and was a criminalisation of a civil matter. They contend that the government is not empowering women but penalising men.
