The United Nations will adopt a resolution on North Korea's human rights violations on Monday, local time.
The resolution strongly condemns the regime's "longstanding and ongoing systematic, widespread and gross violations of human rights" and was approved by consensus without a vote last month.
It'll be the 14th straight year for the UN to urge a strong response to the matter.
It lists grave human rights violations by North Korea,... including torture, rape, public executions,... while urging the Security Council to take appropriate measures to hold the abusers accountable.
But for the first time this year, it includes that it welcomes Seoul and Washington's current diplomatic efforts with Pyeongyang.
