A Monday report suggests that President Trump developed a particularly pronounced liking for a staffer because he looks like him, only younger.  The New York Times' article focuses on Nick Ayers, who serves as Vice President Mike Pence's chief of staff, announcing that he will be leaving Washington, D.C. at the end of the year.  Ayers was said to be Trump's pick to fill the position being vacated by Chief of Staff John Kelly.  Reporter Maggie Haberman notes: "Mr. Ayers was the only person Mr. Trump had focused on since he made up his mind to part ways with Mr. Kelly. With a head of blond hair, Mr. Ayers somewhat resembles Mr. Trump in his younger days, a fact that the president often looks for as a positive signal."
While Ayers won't be taking on the chief of staff role, he will be working for the president in another capacity. ABC News reports that he's signed on with a pro-Trump super PAC.
